Buy pyjamas
Pyjamas are garments you wear to sleep. They usually consist of two parts, trousers and a shirt. Nowadays, there’s more choice in them and you can also buy nightshirts and short-sleeved or long-sleeved types. Besides sleeping, they’re also the perfect garment to relax in. Enjoy a lazy Sunday morning in a comfortable outfit. You can also find suitable nightwear for every season. Choose for light, breathable fabrics in the hot summer months and go for thicker, warmer fabrics in winter. Plus, there are plenty of fun prints and colours to be found. Choose your favourite for a stylish sleeping outfit.
Types of pyjamas
Cool colours, nice prints, soft fabrics and fine structures. Buy pyjamas in different shapes and sizes. Benefit is that there’s bound to be a suitable type for your little one. Pick children’s pyjamas with short or long sleeves. Or go for sleeves and legs with elastic cuffs. These cuffs retain the heat. There are suitable PJs for every season. Baby Plus sells different types from brands such as well-known Feetje!
Which type of children’s pyjamas do I need?
Can your little one wear pyjamas already, or is it safer for small babies to sleep in a sleeping bag? Of course, you want your child to sleep comfortably and safely. It depends on each child when you can start wearing pyjamas, but you can use the following guidelines:
- Parents are advised to let children sleep in a sleeping bag for the first year of their life. In a sleeping bag, babies have their legs free. In addition, a sleeping bag makes babies feel safe and secure, so they fall asleep faster.
- From the first year of life, you can start using pyjamas. Depending on the season and your child, choose a short-sleeved or long-sleeved version. In the cold months, you can choose a romper underneath it to keep your child nice and warm. It all depends on your child and how (quickly) he feels hot and cold.
- A good tool is the TOG value. Clothes, such as sleeping bags, have a certain TOG value which is suitable to wear at a certain temperature. So you can easily calculate how warm the garment should be for the specific room temperature.
