Why a rattle?

A rattle is one of the first toys of your little one. After 3 to 4 months, your baby is very fascinated by his hands. A rattle is then the ideal toy. By playing with the rattle the motor skills are stimulated even more. Your baby learns to reach for and hold on to an object. A rattle is usually a hollow object in which one or more balls are located, by shaking these balls make a nice sound that will make your little one happy.

A teether has a soothing effect

As soon as your little one’s teeth come through, it can cause sensitive gums. With a teething ring you soothe the pain and itching of teething. A teething ring has different shapes and textures which help to massage the gums. In addition, there are several teethers available: wooden, silicone and from natural rubber. All variants are completely safe to use, but there are some differences between them. Wooden teething toys are a bit harder and are a bit lighter in the hand. Silicone teethers are more flexible and easy to clean. Natural rubber teethers are more environmentally friendly and softer. At Baby Plus you can also opt for a rattle and teething ring in one. A multifunctional toy!

Tips for using a teether

We have listed a few useful tips for using a teether:

  • Stay close to your baby. This is the most important tip, because even though all teethers available at Baby Plus meet the safety requirements, an accident is just around the corner.
  • Don’t put it in the freezer. A frozen teether can stick to your baby’s skin or lips. Instead, put it in the fridge for an extra relief effect.
  • Clean it regularly. Because your baby puts the teether in his mouth, it is important that you keep it clean. Some teethers can be put in the dishwasher or you can wash them under the tap with some washing-up liquid.
